Homespun Project

I’m totally a rookie spinner.  This is one of the first attempts that was knittable.  A lot of it wasn’t :). I don’t even remember what the fiber was.  Today I wove in the loose ends and blocked it. The pattern is a freebie on Ravelry called “Gathered Scarf”.

What a lovely scarf, and I would say the yarn you spun is wonderful!! I treadle to fast to spin anything good. I just can't get the hang of an easy rhythm!

Thanks Chris. That’s exactly the same problem I have....and then the yarn gets away from me and I spend a lot of time retreading the wheel :). And I don’t understand why it’s easier to make really thin yarn but harder to make a thicker one. You would think it would be the opposite. I have an Ashford Kiwi and a Kromski....it seems easier for me to spin on the Kiwi but to ply on the Kromski. I have to keep the pedals covered up with a small quilt. One of my little dogs stepped on it and got her paw stuck under the pedal. OMG the noises that came out of her until I could get her out of it.
