Chemo Cap Slouchy

I can’t believe I’m knitting with this color.  After all the “pussy hat” nonsense, I find this color cringe worthy. At least this cap doesn’t have ears :)
This is for a friend’s wife undergoing chemo and she wanted pink so she got it.  The pattern is by Classic Elite Yarns (a company closing...not that it matters. Their Hub store is a LYS for me.  When they opted to get political after President Trump’s victory, I opted never to buy another thing from them.) This pattern was free. It’s called the Fresco Simple Slouchy.  I made it out of Premier Yarns Cotton Fair purchased at either Michael’s or Joann’s. I recommend it for chemo caps as it is very soft.    I made the smallest size.  I tend to have bigger gauge and usually have to drop down a needle size and I thought without having hair, I didn’t want the cap to be too big.  I have one more to make for another friend but haven’t asked her yet what color she’d like.

Thanks Denise. Cat hats? Your so kind... that’s one word for them :). Yep and now the “moral outrage” about illegals being separated from their children at the border! Such hypocrisy! Where was the outrage when Slick Willie passed the law or when Obozo enforced the law? Trump’s left holding the bag for unfettered illegal immigration that has been going on for way too long. As a retired Southern California police officer, all I can say is build that damn wall now! Make it a high one and heavily armed! The illegals are the ones putting their kids in jeopardy not US immigration policy. Just unfollowed a big mouth pattern designer for getting political on her IG account over this issue. Why don’t they have a personal account for their political views and keep the business apart from it? I’m not a business woman. I don’t sell anything but if I did I think that would be the smarter way to go. Do they think there aren’t groups of conservative knitters out there who share this info with each other? I’m in one. Every day there’s a post or an email pointing out the most recent unhinged leftie who just shot off her big mouth....and basically cost herself some customers. I am at the point where I do not purchase anything from anyone or anywhere until I check out their social media accounts. I don’t care how lovely that yarn is, how cute that pattern is....I can find lovely and cute from someone else.

Love the hat! I need to remember that one for future use. Two friends are dealing with breast cancer, but right now hats aren't needed, unless they are AC cooled ones! LOL I just wish all business would keep their politics to themselves, but that's never going to be the case from now on. I don't join vocal boycotts, I just quietly stop shopping or using the services of those businesses that shoot off their mouths. Haven't shopped with Target for years! Besides the whole bathroom thing I have had my credit info compromised by them TWICE!! At the same location in the San Fran area. And they did nothing to determine who was stealing the info.

Yep I’m done with Target too.
