Gradient Cowl

Started this cowl right before Christmas. The pattern is called Gradient Cowl and it’s a paid pattern on Ravelry.  It requires two yarns and the color work is all done by slip stitching and not stranding. I’m not particularly good at stranding but that is a knitting goal this year..... to learn how to not have my strands so tight and bunchy.  This slip stitch method was so much fun and totally brainless knitting.  I’ll probably be making some more of this one.  My yarn is a Falkland Islands merino silk (for the white) and Koigu Painter’s Palette (for the blue/greens/gray).  The combination is really really soft.  I don’t remember where I got the Falkland Islands yarn.

Just gorgeous! In Stranding there are so many tricks to help you not have tight floats. Just google and see what you find. Happy knitting!

I carry my yarn in my left hand....I really need to take the time to get it right. There is a darling teapot and teacup stranded hat pattern that I started....I did a couple of inches and then realized this will not fit any human head....well maybe a shrunken head :).
