Plum Rum Nutty Conserve

Still got plums.....I think they are multiplying like gremlins.  This was the second batch from yesterday.  Plum Rum Nutty Conserve.  Here's the recipe link:  http://commonsensehome.com/plum-rum-nutty-conserve/  Still have enough plums to do two more recipes...but honestly this plum stuff is all starting to taste and look the same to me.  Next on the agenda are the three bags of raspberries and blackberries I picked, washed, dried and froze to do something with at a later time.  Found an interesting recipe for Raspberry Pie Filling and Blackberries in Framboise.  Last weekend I used a small jar of apple preserves my friend Renee and I made (two years ago) in a puff pastry for an easy breakfast pastry.  Here's the recipe for the Plum Rum Nutty Conserve:  http://commonsensehome.com/plum-rum-nutty-conserve/

Plum Rosemary and Orange Jam

Found this recipe via Pinterest.  Plum Rosemary and Orange Jam.  Used rosemary from the garden and the plums from plum tree #2. Gave most of the plums away for free and just kept one basket to make stuff for us.  Here's the link to the recipe I used. The lady forgot to tell you when to add the Orange Extract...so I just tossed it in with the rosemary during the boiling time. It tastes good.  http://untrainedhousewife.com/how-to-can-orange-rosemary-plum-jam  Jar count:  166-ish.

Another Pair of Fall Socks (giftie)

Mystery yarn...I have no idea....Found these with the other pair almost done so I finished them up last night.  Super easy beginner pattern from one of my favorite pattern companies (Knitting Pure & Simple).  Beginner's Lightweight Socks by Diane Soucy.  Gift for a sick friend.

Harris Tweed Socks

Done :) Yeah :)  Gigantic!  Unknown yarn...did I mention gigantic?  Harris Tweed Socks pattern from a How to Knit Socks book. Changed the toe shaping to kitchener.  These have been sitting around unfinished for a long time.  I started them when I was new to sock knitting and the toe finishing was kicking my butt. Put it away ..... for a couple of years and just took them out of hiding yesterday.  Unstitched some of the toes and just reworked a couple of the last rows of decreases and did kitchener instead of some sort of alternating stitches on two double pointed needle method.  What??? No.  Happy with the results....really happy the gigantic socks are done :)

Winter is coming...well not for Ned Stark....Knit faster!!

Finished another pair.  Just a basic vanilla sock pattern using "Knitting Fever" Indulgences Yarn I bought at "Mother of Purl" yarn shop.  I love the happy spring colors....but really "Winter is coming" :)

Holy Moley Scarf

Yarn I used is Lucci Iristape.  Pattern is a free pattern on Ravelry by Lynn Frank.  I think if a mermaid were to wear a scarf, it would be this one :)

Plum Ridiculous

Okay there aren't enough plum canning recipes in the world for me to use all of these.  Gave away 4 bags already and am taking the bulk of these to the farmer's market.  Or maybe I'll just stick them at the end of the driveway with a "Free Plums" sign.
