Outlander Claire Cowl Pattern

Claire Cowl
Pattern removed.
Tired of the complaints and criticism.

All I could do is tell you all what I did.
And now I'm done.

Outlander Claire Cowl #2

I like the way my second Claire Cowl turned out.  Bonnier than the first one :)  The first one was okay if ye spend your time in a castle but this one I can actually wear to the grocery store. :)  The color is closer to the one in the show too.  I used two skeins of chocolate brown Berroco Vintage Chunky 6179 knitted with two strands together on size 15 needles. The next challenge is to make the capelet. Hopefully I'll be posting that soon.

Free pattern no longer available.

Claire Cowl

My version of Claire's cowl from the TV show "Outlander".  I'm in an online knitting group where we try to duplicate the knitted costumes from the show.  My next attempt is to make her shrug:)  If I make this again, I would make it more narrow, slightly shorter and in a more camel color. Not for sale.  No pattern available.

Birthday Quilt Delight Quilt by Jaybird Quilts

Before Quilting
I made this for my friend Maria's birthday.  She got it two months late but we don't pay too much attention to the date on the calendar when exchanging hand made gifts.  I used the Hex N More Ruler by Jaybird Quilts to make this quilt. The uneven top and bottom were a little bit slow to attach the binding but not difficult to do. Bias binding not straight of grain needed.

The pattern is called "Delight" also by Jaybird Quilts.  Her directions are great and the ruler is very versatile.  (No affiliation I just like them).

I used Thimbleberrie blues and creams. As usual you know who has to be in the thick of things.  I wouldn't have it any other way. :)
