Zipping through trees and fabrics!

Back from vacation.....unfortunately :(  Lots of outdoor adventures! Hiking, kayaking and zip lining  from tree to tree.  Look close for the yellow t-shirt :) That's me :) Lots of fun but not the rush of sky diving. That would be hard to compete with.
On a different day when my feet were firmly planted on the ground, I found an awesome quilt shop.  Country Treasures in Chester, VT.  Seriously if you can't find a fabric you like in this store, just give up!!! The shop looks small from the outside but it's very long and there is an upstairs full of flannels and homespuns.  Oh my stars there were mountains of prepackaged fat quarters everywhere.  But I was good.  I don't need more fabric.  I walked around with a dazed and overwhelmed look on my face :) I found a new ruler there that I just had to have.  The sign said it just came out at this year's Quilt Market.  A Zig Zag ruler by Char Hopeman.  The patterns to go with it are by Cotton Cottage Press.  I bought two of them...the Double Rings (my next quilt) and this one below "Diamond Trip Quilt".  I'm having fun with it so far.  Zipping (ha :)) through my box of 1930's reproduction fabrics.  They are almost gone. I'm just determined to down size my fabric stash and move the quilts out!   In less than a week I got this much done and that was only really spending two hours a night sewing.  Will post a completed picture soon.

Will Snort For Attention

With these two around, it's a minor miracle I get anything accomplished :)
