Fall Wreath Done

Most favorite time of the year will be here soon enough.  My front door is ready :)

Therapeutic Pillow Cover

Went to a big quilt show a couple of weeks ago and there was a lady selling therapeutic vibrating pillows along with patterns for wrap around Velcro secured pillow covers.  The pillow is pretty cool. This one is for a friend with severe hip problems.  The pattern was the most poorly written nightmare I've ever seen.  I could have figured out my own pattern with less and learn.

Fiber Club

Joined a fiber club.  There is a fiber shop/yarn shop in Lisbon, Maine called the Spunky Eclectic and once a month they send out an surprise fiber in unknown colors to the club members to spin up.
They prep the fibers and hand dye them too.  This was the August 2013 fiber. It's a merino yak blend.  Can't wait to 'give it a spin'.  The shop owner's sample of how her spun up is gorgeous.  I need to buy a yak :)

Another Sapphire and Faded Jeans Crescent Shaped Shawl

This one is for my friend Shannon's birthday....a little late.  Made out of Classic Elite Yarns Vista (alpaca and merino blend worsted weight) My obsession with alpaca continues :) Made this one like the last two versions of the same pattern longer and wider than the pattern calls for.  I probably shouldn't have taken the above picture when it was so sunny out.  I might re do that picture.

Found the beads at Joann's Fabrics. Joann's has tons of beads but I think they mainly focus on beads for jewelry makers.  I really like the crochet hook method of attaching the beads.  That method you can get the beads completely vertical and right where you want it....but the bummer is it's harder to find beads with a big enough hole for even the tiniest of crochet hooks.
