I'm reading this book "These is my Words" by Nancy E. Turner. I never thought I'd like a book about the Wild West, Indians and wagon trains but I can't put it down. I ordered the next two in the series for the Kindle already (Sarah's Quilt and Star Garden).
I'm almost done with the book. Here's a synopsis: Pioneer women worked like dogs from sun up to sun down. They went through husbands like shoes. They would be better off not getting too attached to their husbands, children, relatives or pets. Not surprisingly a few found time to lose their minds....you know in their spare time :)
