Granny B's Peanut Butter Bars

1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup margarine
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 t. vanilla
1 cup flour
1 1/2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt

Melt peanut butter and butter. Add to the rest of the ingredients. Mix well.
Pour batter into greased and floured 9 by 13" baking dish.
Bake in preheated oven 350 degrees for approx. 25 minutes.
Cool.

Optional Icing: Really Sweet (I don't usually make the icing)

1 stick of margarine
4 T. cocoa
6 T. buttermilk

Bring ingreidnets to a boil. Take off heat. Add ONE BOX OF POWDERED SUGAR (I'm not kidding) and 1 T. of vailla. 
Spread over bars. 
Cut into bars.

Sweet and Sour Green Beans

3/4 lbs. green beans
2 T. extra virgin olive oil
1 medium shallot minced
2 T. cider vinegar
1 t. sugar
salt and pepper

Place beans in a steamer over boiling water for 5 minutes.
In a skillet, place oil and shallots on high heat and stir until softened.
Add vinegar and sugar until disolved.
Remove from heat, add beans.
Salt and pepper.
Toss well and serve.
