Christmas 2009 Goal

I'm hoping and working hard to get this quilt done before Christmas.  It is made out of  Jack Dempsey stamped cross stitch rose blocks.  I plan on tea dying the bright white blocks for a more country look and then bordering the blocks with a red and green fabric.   This project has been my camping trip and on the road project over the past couple of years. I currently have 27 blocks made.

Christmas Tea Basket

The Christmas Tea Basket gets raffled off on Nov. 22nd for the church and school annual craft fair :) I had to downsize the teacups and saucers from 6 to 4 because I broke a saucer.  :( Five would have been stupid so  I just included four.  Three of them are in the protective styrofoam under the other stuff. Now I just have to wrap it up without breaking anything else. Wish me luck :) I will miss my little Christmas teacup and saucer counted cross stitch. I hope she goes to a good home :)  This whole thing started with the counted cross stitch and then sort of blossomed from there.

Caution:  Quilt racks purchased in Amish barns are actually much bigger than they look in your own home. :)
